The overnight team gathered in the break room to go over the morning's plan, the way they did every shift. Their team leader, a thirty-one-year-old man named Andre Bing, walked in carrying a 9mm pistol he had purchased that same morning, and started firing. He killed a coworker outside the break room first, then the people inside, then walked the aisles firing more shots before turning the gun on himself. Six Walmart employees died. Four more were wounded. Three days before Thanksgiving. The six who died were these:
