Photo credit Edwardx, CC BY-SA 3.0. The Bishops of London lived here for thirteen hundred years. From around 704 until 1973, the manor of Fulham was the country residence of every Bishop of London who held the see — Saxon prelates, Norman appointees, Tudor reformers, Georgian aristocrats, Victorian Anglicans.
