      <description><![CDATA[In the city archives of Tallinn there is a sheet of paper that lists what a ship was carrying on a November evening in 1468: honey, bales of cloth, and 10,000 gold guldens. It has been read, catalogued and preserved for over five centuries. The ship it describes has never been found. Hanneke Vrome went over somewhere along this stretch of the Finnish south coast — the water east of Hanko and west of Porkkala, most likely near Jussarö — and took everyone aboard with her, and the manifest exists today only because the survivors of the people who drowned spent years arguing about who owned the wreckage.]]></description>
