Driving in from any direction, you see what looks at first like a giant red apple suspended above the trees - a shape so out of place against the Appalachian foothills that it makes a passing motorist do a double take. Jackson, Ohio claims the apple. The county fair built around it draws tens of thousands every fall, and the orchards in the surrounding hills supply enough fruit each year to justify the cheerful audacity of painting a steel tank to look like the most famous crop.]]></description>
