The whole apparatus settles quietly onto the riverbed of the Southern Buh and waits out the winter beneath the ice, invisible, hibernating like an animal. Come spring, it rises again. For the warm half of the year, from April to October, the Multimedia Fountain Roshen puts on one of the strangest and most beloved spectacles in Ukraine, right in the heart of the city of Vinnytsia, where a jet of water climbs more than sixty meters into the night and a curtain of spray becomes a screen for lasers and film.
