      <description><![CDATA[The name translates as 'Beyond the Bridge,' and that is exactly what it is: a long, low stone building of fifteenth-century date crouched on the left bank of the River Conwy, just over Pont Fawr, looking back at Llanrwst across the water. It was here before the bridge. Inigo Jones designed the elegant three-arched span in 1636; the building beside it had already stood for more than a century by then. Today the whole structure is wrapped, every autumn, in Boston ivy that turns from green through orange to violent crimson against the grey stone - one of the most photographed buildings in Wales, currently a working tearoom run on a National Trust lease.]]></description>
